Mazda 3 gets new shoes

So, spent my day off teaching the gf how to change tires on her car and how to paint brake calipers instead of doing hw... lol, mmmmmmm paint fumes!

Also, gf's new rims came in...

They are:
Konig Holes
17x7
Falken Zeix 512s
215/45/17

Ya, they look small cause of that lip... but 18s have hard time fitting after lowering... which will be later

hehe thnx kevin, i typed the pic name wrong :P

As for lowering... it will be new to me, its not a macpherson strut combo im used to.

Its like seperate spring/shock combo in rear and the front isnt using a fork to lower control arm.

Also, suspension upgrade is $$$ right now

Ritchie, I forgot to tell you that I think I saw her car parked by the Frogstone Grill on Turkey Weekend... looks good!  Just seat your fat self in the back and the car will be lowered "naturally".  :P

Uh-oh, are non-DSM sightings allowed here?

Nice rims, the falcon ziex's treadwear is not as good as you'd like though. I had those on my 94 eclipse and i guess i was hard on them but they went real quick, i think the treadwear is somethin like 360, i got hankook ventus with 420 treadwear and they handle better in the rain and dry for cheaper. Ritchie, what do you drive, is it a white eclipse?? 2g? I am new to bcdsm but i think i know who u are if it is, pinetree sec??

That's a bad question to ask him right now.  :P

That white 2G "Eclipse" you speak of might be for sale...

Hey Aaron,

Wasn't checking this thread often, sorry for late reply.
I went to Pinetree yes, graduated in 1999/2000, but my talon is gray not white.  The white 2g dsm you speak of was owned by a white guy named Richie, who also went to pinetree :).

And ya... my cars on jackstands atm. :P

The way I look at it is every day the car spends on jackstands is one more day that it's not getting a little more wore out or a little dirtier.  Think positive.   :P
