BCDSM Meet: Sunday, September 11th : Farewell to Summer
« on: August 08, 2005, 09:30:22 am »
Here is my idea - opinions are welcome.

First off - I pushed it from the 4th to the 11st because the 4th is the long weekend just before school/college etc, and I am sure many are quite busy.
If eveyone prefers the 4th though - no problem.

I am thinking of a farewell cruise to Summer here in the lower mainland.

We meet in Stanley Park somewhere (Brockton Point?)
Drive around the bay to Kits beach and meet at a predetermined location.
Drive through Jericho to Spanish Banks and meet at a predetermined location.
Cruise through Spirit Park from Spanish and out through SW Marine drive and hit a restaurant patio for dinner - somewhere in Richmond like Sammy J Peppers?

Now, driving a route like this takes us through some fairly traffic congested areas which is why a little patience and "A MAP" will be important.
It will be nice to hit a few of the finer summer-city locations one last time, but the cruise aspect will be difficult to keep us in formation.

Opinions welcome and needed.

Marty,

Richmond seriously sucks for Restaurants of that sort...the girls and the food are sub-par.

I suggest we dine on Broadway or 4th, it will be much better than Richmond.

Ya richmond's food isnt to exciting....cactus club girls are good...however, if you head into that side of town it will be eye to eye with rice rockets all night. Anywere down west 4th is good...if you've heard of hells kitchen anyone the food there is really really good and the layout of the place is sweet.

The entire route is 33km

I chose Richmond's Sammy J's because it is near where we exit from SE marine, the waitresses are cute, and the food is decent. Cactus Club is right next door and has some fine ladies as well.

If the group choice is to double back to a place on Broadway we can do that instead though.

We'd just take 57th to granville and head up to Broadway - I find however that the parking for restaurants on Broadway is lousy and neither the women nor the food any better.

Hell's kitchen sounds interesting - never been there.
Online reviews are bashing it pretty hard though - but I have an open mind.
