Hole in throttle body elbow?
« on: May 10, 2003, 01:18:09 pm »
well as i was pressurizing my intake i found a threaded hole in my throttle body elbow that i had never noticed before, is this normal or is this another case of previous owner secrets?

2Gs have a little threaded hole where you insert a 50/50% premix of boost fluid and WHOA juice. I would not suggest you plug it in any way or you WILL get CW!.

ok good, i left it open and made a bit of ducting to cool the intake manifold from the outside rather than just the inside, i'm hoping this will lower my halogen fluid temp and allow me to raise the boost atlest a good 10 points which should be good for at the very least a good few seconds off my 1/4mile time. Right?

might I suggest some steel epoxy putty. Or you can just plumb in nitrous, since the hole is already there.

NAAWS, jeremy you hit it right on the head! Troy, I would not be too worried as your car has more than likely seen a 150 shot allready. ;) You didnt think your seat was twisted by the torque produced by a T25 alone did you?

Another possibility would be an air temperature sensor.    :P

But I think its pretty clear its a boost fluid injection port.

Bah, duct tape & band clamp until i get my 250shot of nawss. i'll need bottles though... two of the big ones.

But in all seriousness, i went to a pet store and grabbed a water bottle for the gerbils and jbwelded it to that hole, i know it's not a traditional feeding spot but i'm too lazy to drill a hole in the block and replace one of those half moon shaped things with a feed dish like the honda guys.
