[edit] Problem getting fogs to work
« on: May 03, 2003, 12:29:15 pm »
I'm trying to put 1G Talon fogs into My 90 Laser and having problems. Has anyone ever done this successfully?

The brackets just wont line up with my bumper openings :x
I'm beginning to think that's why there were no fogs on the Lasers.

Anybody have any tips?
I'm planning to just bend them but I fear that may cause issues with aiming them.

Thanks

I don't know about the Talon fogs... if you can get the light to fit in the hole then it shouldn't matter if you bend some brackets in the back...

Personally I made up some aluminum brackets and put in some mini suns made by Hella.  Hehehe.  I almost feel sorry for the poor guys who highbeam me and get rewarded by 410W of light... almost.

OK I got them in but they don't work. :x

I used the factory wiring but I am wondering if I am maybe missing a fuse or relay. Where should they be? My Haynes manual has nothing for it and I lost the fuse box cover long ago.

Thanks

Sounds like a dumb question but do you have the switch?  The blank one on the left side of the wheel?  Other than that check the fuse panel under the dash and the box in the engine bay for the foglight relay or fuse and make sure it's there.

Yes I have the switch and it's hooked up. I would love to check the fuse and relay but I don't know which ones they are. That was the question
Maybe you can tell me, thanks :P

Nevermind I searched VFAQ and found out which one it was and the relay is missing so I guess I just need one. I'll go to Lordco tomorrow.
Thanks for the help Mike

hehe, sorry, I was thinking it would be on the lid of the fuse box and have a little "foglight relay" then when you pop the cap you just have a plug but no relay.  I would have went and looked myself but it's cold outside  :(
