whats the least amount of boost you can run on a 14b? lets say you run a boost controller wide open... the wastegate wont bypass air til 7psi correct? so that means you can't run anything less than 7psi? otherwise... how much pressure does it take to open the wastegate?

It's true! My turbo seized up. Couple a turbo 1g's horrible compression, along with having giant restrictions in both the intake and exhaust, and you have the slowest...car...ever.

I think the NT's have better cams too...

Actually, you could just disconnect the wastegate actuator from the wastegate arm.  You'll get pretty close to 0 psi I'm sure.

yeah i thought of that.... im running a 14b on a honda though... my compression is 9.4:1   so at 7psi im gonna have to be very careful if i want my motor to last more than a week... i was hoping i could turn it down to like 4 or 5 psi til im more comfortable with the condition of the motor... oh well... ill just go all out  :D
im running blue tops and a dsm fuel pump along with an FMU... so the fuel will be there... i think  :D

Jordan,
If you really wanted to, modify your wastegate actuator arm to do just that.  Cut the arm in two, put threads on both sides of the arm and put a coupling nut in between.  Lengthen the arm...you will decrease the preload on the diaphragm and you should be able to get it down to 4-5psi.  Shorten the arm, you will increase the preload and get 8-10psi.

Alternatively, you could just sell your car, and get an AWD TURBO DSM!  Heh heh.  Sorry, couldn't help that
