Help selecting a muffler
« on: May 03, 2005, 02:13:48 pm »
I am going to make up a 3" exhaust system and I was wondering what muffler I should get.

Ideally it would flow well and not be too loud.

Any thoughts?

I did the Magnaflow straight through and added 2 resonators. The noise level is quite reasonable.

I have this muffler and hate it.  You can hear me coming a mile away and WOT sounds ridiculous.  If you plan on getting one of these mufflers, make sure you have a resonator in.

I found my Thermal muffler loud.  However the Thermal looked awesome and seemed very well made.

2 words.

Bor.

La.

well, one word really.  Mine is very nice, stainless, sounds deep and mellow at idle, not raspy at all.  At WOT it has a very nice urgent wail to it.

Its not ricer.  They actually look very stock.

Highly reccomended.

I used to have a 2" Borla and liked it alot. Now I have a Magnaflow 3" Race Series and really like it too although it is a little too loud sometimes. I'd say go with the Borla.
