well, i've successfully dyed them, and i must say im quite impressed with the results.  i've only dyed the 'rainbow' pattern in the middle of the seats, and the cloth panels in the door.  they look way nicer i think.  no regrets.  altho there is some minor rubbage, but ScotchGuard helped me with that problem. ahah.
