forgive my stupidity but i am relatively new to the dsm world....i was just wondering...there r a few good lookin, nicely modded fwd tsi's for sale on the site...i am tryin to move outta the fwd world into awd or rwd...my question is, is there any way to convert to awd (preferably) or rwd??...if so, how much r we talkin for a swap?

For 1G, no.

For 2G yes, but it's ridiculously expensive.

Andreas is doing one on his Spyder and he "Could have bought an M3 for what he's spent on it" (his friends own words).

ah..thx for the help.....lol at Andreas....must really love the dsm to put that much cash down...especially if he coulda bought an M3...good luck with that man :)

fair enuf :D....i know a few ppl who have spent rediculous amoutns of money on cars when they coulda bought soemthing sweet like an M3...uniqueness is a good reason to spend that money on ur car tho

No sorry, my mistake.  Graeme's right...1G AWD conversions are not worth doing.
