coolant temp gauge???

i bought one from chrysler yesturday but i dont know where to find it in the engine i dont want to guess

i have a 2g eclipse gst

i went to lowell and that is what came up as the check engine warning

i need to replace it becasue it is doing funny things with the idle and i can always smell something burning as soon as the check engine comes back

any one have any ideas how and where i can find the sensor

Someone with a 2G can correct me if I am wrong, but the sensor should be in the Thermostat housing.  

I know this as I forgot to connect it once na dmy guage showed nothing for a couple days until I got aroung to fixing it.
