225/45/17 victoracers on 9" rims?

is it unsafe or hard to put 225/45/17 victoracers on 9" rims? thanks!

spec max is 8.5"

i think 225mm = 8.775" wide..

9" wide rims are, i think 10" wide from edge to edge to where the tire mounts on the rim... I think 225 is stretchin the tire a bit too much on the side walls.

How 'bout I swap you my 8" rims for your 9" rims? ;)

My 245/45 R17 V700s fit great on 8", but I would love 9".   I would think that 225 are a little small but I would ask a competent tire shop to be sure.
