OK, so I used my buddy's datalogger cable from his 90' Talon AWD. I have a '92 Talon awd. The cable would not connect whatsoever on mine when hooke dot the diagnostic port, but on the exact same laptop in his car, connected fine. :( SO.. my question is, is there a difference between cables for the 1Ga, and 1Gb DSMs? If not.. wtf? :P Thanks guys.

no such difference between the cars for datalogging......as far as I know....

Could it be that your accidentally placing one of the cable connectors on the wrong pin in the diagnostic port?

shouldnt be any difference between loggers for 1g's.  Lowell logged my car on his logger that he did his 90 on.  I've seen people log for each other all the time.

check continuity of diagnostic port with voltmeter and source it back.
