Poll will be open until Sunday at this time, at which point, majority rules.

How about an option for Both?

Obviously time and money will be a concern for most, but not all.

Have a Mainland normal Meet, then maybe the week after or whatever, the die-hards can "take a cruise".

Die hards can feel free to organize another meet, but the "official" DSM meet is on the first <alternating> saturday or sunday of the first weekend of the month.

Sunday August 8th. there are drug races 1/8th of a mile tho. It would be awesome to see some of the dsm come and join. Also it is a wicked drive and there are some nice lakes to go swimming and dont forget the best greek restaurant in the lower mainland is in sechelt.  Also you can pre purchase books of tickets by the dosen i believe, which makes it even cheaper.

Unfortunately, this month's meet falls on Saturday the 7th--last month's meet was on a Sunday.

I'll be in Toronto that weekend.  But my idea of a summer meet one day is Beach Volleyball and BBQ.  Get to Spanish Banks early and line up all the cars in the parking lot, play volleyball all day, and eat and drink.  But that's just me.

OK, looks like Mainland has made it for the official meet, edging the sechelt guys by 3 votes--what that means to me is that we need a meet out there soon!  I shall arrange this.

Also, I apologise for not getting off my ass and organizing sooner, it's been a little hectic.

We can have 2 events in August, can't we?    :P

Obviously there's interest in a cruise to Sechelt, perhaps somebody should get working on that too......   maybe plan it for Sunday, 15th August.....
