Stock CD player likes my CD so much that

it won't give it back.
When I press eject it tries to eject it but just ends up making a whole bunch of noise and it won't come out. It'll still play after that.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone before and if you were able to fix it. I tried putting another cd in part way, pressing eject, and pushing up on the jammed cd with the other one a bit to try and guide it out. That didn't work.

If you pull out the cd-player, and open it up, that might give you a better idea what is holding onto the cd.

Ps. Use a hammer, its the quickest

Open the top of the unit.
There will be a worm gear in there.
Inspect it, make sure it is not striped.
With a finger, slowly work the worm gear in reverse until the CD hits whatever obstruction is in it's way.

Damn, I missed reading like half of these posts and Marty's advice about the worm gear.
I was stuck in the Cap College parking lot for about 45 min just now because of that guy who flipped the semi. You can only listen to Living In America so many times in a row... so I decided to get the cd out. I took the cd player out, disconnected it, opened it up, and unscrewed the two screws at the top that hold the faceplate in; the bottom of the faceplate just clips into the housing and I didn't want to mess with it and end up breaking it off so I just let it hang there. Anyway, I just plain ripped the cd out. I reassembled the cd player and tested it out with a new cd and it still works. It actually ejects cd's once again too.
