valve cover air breather

Hey you guys with the valve cover beather filter installed ever have it rub against the underhood aluminum heat shield?? Mine is and it's actually wearing the portion where it rub till I can see the black fiber material. You guys just leave it like that or just keep patching the wear with aluminum tape or foil or something??

I have one on my car, no rubbing to be seen.  Maybe you have one that's too big.  Where did you get it from?

buy a coke drink it then cut hole in bottle then run hoses from valve cover in to it and u now have a $1.00 oil catch.

I have a breather but hate it.

It leaks oil onto my car.  :(

ah, whoops; I have an inline filter routed back to my intake...I misread.

Well I got it from L&R and I believe it's the right one. It looks the same as some I've seen in pics. Anyways, maybe I will make a catch can or something.
