At idle,
Does it click even you did not push the clutch in?
Do you notice a drop of rpm when the clutch is pushed in?
Is the clicking louder when the clutch is pushed in?

When driving,
Is there any irregularities with your clutch? (ie, goes to the floor with no resistance after a hard left turn)

I have noisey lifters like that as well, don't worry about it Howard.  But worry about the rpms dipping when the clutch is in & the stalling etc..

I am no AST, but sounds like you have some sort of problem with your transmission possibly.  Hopfully it is not symptoms of what all the other guys are thinking.  I'm sure your just as concerned.
