1G rear Strut bar FWD or AWD - are they different?
« on: December 05, 2003, 11:56:10 pm »
Just got the strut bar - looks well made.

Seems like it is supposed to go directly over a bolt on each side.

Problem : Does not seem to fit - seems to be almost 1" too long.

Question : Are the rear strut towers/bolts different on a FWD vs an AWD ?

If it's the bar i'm thinkin of, it is adjustable, only by a small amount ...

Installation tip, don't try and fit the eyelets over the bolts and push it flush against the top of the tower.  Just get it over the the head of the bolt, and start screwing the nut down on each side a little at a time.  There's supposed to be tension, the brace is doing it's job.

However, if it's a different design ... let us know what ya find out :D
