Ostrich ecu question
« on: July 12, 2014, 08:47:08 pm »
well it looks like i'm ready to go but something needs sorting out.
I hooked up my LC-1 and ECU w/ostrich and the car started, ran rich (probably due to larger injectors).  I then hooked up my laptop to make sure I could connect to the ostrich.  It looks as if it connected ok but after that I don't know what went on.  It appears the battery got low and I started to have a clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk.... sound.  Charged the battery for a bit and wouldn't you fucking know it.... now the car won't start!  Tried a different ECU..... started up.  Tried ostrich ECU..... no start!  WTF!?  Did I erase the emulation when I connected my laptop? or low battery caused an issue?  Coincidental ECU failure?  I don't know what that that was all about but I'll check some more at a later date.

 Any ideas?

Well, got that all sorted out.... for now, still running rich as hell.  Showing around 10.8 on the wide band while idling but it slowly wants to die as the car warms up.

after installing a new .bin and .xdf  it would appear my plugs fouled.  Cleaned them and they fouled again.  Switched them out for different ones and they haven't fouled yet but I'm still running rich which would indicate they will probably foul as well.  I took a screen shot of my Tuner pro dashboard with some info that may help.  Anything here look suspect?  By the way... my injector offset is set to 0.

Wi trigger is water injection. If you don't have your deadtimes dialed in it will be hard to keep it running.

There is an injector offset window which you can't see until you expand the injector deadtime window.  It was set to 1 but I altered it to 0 after a little research gave me the info on it.  Not sure exactly what the offset does though.

Good idea to raise the injector size up to 1000cc Brett,  gets it to run a bit better.  Once things stabilize I will reduce it 720cc and alter the Soft VE to try and bring the AFR's back in line.  I am going to focus on getting the rest of my brakes and suspension hooked up so I can take it off jack stands and roll it around some.

Hhaha.   I tried to use some flexible dryer duct to run my exhaust outside the shop.... results...... as expected.  Shit tore up like paper.   lol
