Allow me to tuck my tongue back into my mouth!

I had no idea Evo stuff would bolt up to a 1g. So many possibilities...

Not just Ohlins. Moton as well!

Just think... I could sell my daily driver in order to buy suspension for my dsm.

My only real gripe with the KW V3's is the compression adjuster is in a stupid spot and is a pain to adjust at the track.  For $2250 you can't really complain though.

Hope to see more guys out on the race track next year....

From that page it sounds like us 2G guys might be able to use ITR shocks up front.  I remember finding something for our rears for Penskes so I'm sure we could get something to work on all 4 corners.  (When I looked at Penske's I didn't realize the ITR stuff would fit and figured I needed custom adapters to the standard race shocks up front.)

I know a guy in Victoria that will convert the low end Penskes to a full two way adjustable setup with support from Penske.   The downside is that he has no shock dyno.  He does do suspension work for several road race cars on the island.

Lowell, I'm really curious about the ride quality of my Koni setup vs. your KW variant 3 shocks.  I'm no a huge fan of mine on poor roads.

Shit, try JICs on a shitty road.  holy hell that sucks.  they are great on flat smooth roads, but not so great with bumps mid corner.

Yes, GC/Koni isn't great on the roads around here. Victoria can't seem to keep up with maintenance on their road system.

I recall hearing that 2g rear shocks will bolt up to a 1g, if it's lowered (as the stroke isn't quite as long). Any truth to that?

And therefore... anything that bolts to a 2g (like ITR stuff) could theoretically also make its' way on to a 1g as well.

I know that at least on the front I cant see that working.  They have struts that fit into a hole in the knuckle like some Fords etc, whereas 1g cars have the two bolts thing.

I have heard that later Evo stuff can be made to fit 1g with a little bit of fiddling tho.

+1 on the Tein flex too.  You can get them revalved and change spring rates, so for the money they offer some ahem, flexibility.

The big problem is if you want upper pillow mounts with spherical bearings on a 2G you don't have any other options than FarNorth's setup ...correct?
