CYLINDER HEAD FOR '97 EAGLE TALON?
« on: September 02, 2012, 07:52:06 pm »
I have a '97 Eagle Talon Turbo AWD.  59000 km.  In immaculate condition until recently when engine blew.  Need new radiator and cylinder head.  Radiator obtainable but cylinder head available only from USA after-market supplier at $1395.  What to do?  Anybody out there with experience with this type of car?  I'm non-technical and would appreciate advice.  Many thanks.

Way to much. Post of this forum, wtb 2g head. A good price with out cams is 150 to 300 bucks. Dipending on seller, If it is in good running shape.

You could probably get a stock 2g rad for 25 bucks on this forum. Most people swap to aluminum rads.

Good luck finding your parts David.

Contact Racing Greed.  I purchased a complete rebuilt 6 bolt head for $500.  As I recall w/o cams.  I swapped in upgraded valve springs/retainers, lifters, cams, camgears, etc.

Robbery for $1400 unless some cnc porting is done, valve guides, larger valves, etc. are in the mix, or is that including the re & re?

You would want a 7bolt head though.
