There's a leak in my gas tank.  Parked it on a downwards diagonal angle today - with driver's side rear lowest point on the car and there is a steady stream/drip from the tank at the seam at the drivers side front corner of the tank.

Have to wonder if this could have affected aircare readings too...

But at any rate - can something like this be fixed or do I have to go get a gas tank somewhere?

If your tank is aged to that point personally I'd swap it. just pull the fuel line put it in a jerycan and drain as much fuel as posable then pul the batt, Drop the tank learning how to remove and go to pick apart and find a nice lookin one out of all the Dsm scraps.

I don't know if it would afect the aircare but if it did it wouldn't be in a good way.

Why punch it? I still needed to have a gas tank, just wanted to make sure it was clean for the new motor I dropped in.

well there is only one dsm at pickapart anymore so I don't have a whole lot of choices - hopefully it is in decent shape.

Lol what's all this talk about punching it. Just unhook your fuel rail. Run the line in a Jerrycan. Turn the key and Let it pump... :/ then when tank runs dry from fuel pump drop tank. Then gravity feed the last of it in to a can though a coffee filter to keep al that old grime movin over with the fuel.

yup, if the tank is empty... punching a whole in it is a fast efective way to drain it.  thats how most wreckers do it.  just watch out for sparks or a igniton source.  good idea to always keep a fire extingisher around anytime u fool around with gasoline.

Your tank doesnt have a stock drain plug? Mines does. Also just jb weld it untill you find a good tank. Ghetto yes but better than driving a car with a leaking tank
