Some people place a check valve in the BOV airline and apparently it helps with response. I was actually told that by Shawn at RG. He noted better response by just putting a check valve in.  I havent been able to find a really good quality airline check valve tho. I havent looked that hard tho.
Try that John. It may actually help keep the valve shut.
