Rebuilt transmission nightmare
« on: May 06, 2012, 09:32:31 am »
After installing my freshly rebuilt transmission I found it was leaking a huge amount of oil from the output shaft to the transfer-case.  Because I drove it around a little bit before realizing it was pissing oil my clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and throw out bearing are all soaked in Redline MTL.

Does this mean I now have to replace these components as well?

The pressure plate and flywheel will be okay...  The throwout bearing and clutch disk...  Well I would definalty consider replacing those, esspecially if the clutch disk is a organic one.
