« on: February 23, 2012, 08:34:14 am »
Anyone have this problem, seems to happen when engine is hot? seem like the only explanation i can come up with, seems to run on 1-2 secs after started. runs fine otherwise. So is this an oem must have or jobber part ok?

or the starter is out of position.
Check to make sure the bolts for the starter havent backed out at all.

so it looks like there was some corrosion on the battery term. removed it and found that it was all the way down the wire approx 6" or so. After removing the wire i found the connection to the starter was loose as well. replace with some new wire and all is good...so far!

people don't check thier battery terminals and wiring often enough.  That green corrosion that penetrates down the wire really really adds resistance to the wire making the battery and alternator have to work much harder, and making the starter try to draw huge amps thru a wire in capable of dealing with it.
