FIAV plate install
« on: December 01, 2011, 04:47:40 pm »
Just received my FIAV bypass plate in the mail from Level Zero, I'm going to order a new FIAV seal as well as a new BISS, o-ring and cap all from RTM Racing.

1) Is there any other seals/gaskets I should replace while I"m in there?

2) Any tips? I assume its pretty straight forward, just unbolting the TB, but I've never done it before.

when you take the bottom portion of the tb off there is a rubber gasket that seals off the idle air from the water journals. Just be careful not to rip the gasket when pulling the bottom portion of the throttle body off.   Yours is most likely fine to re-use aslong as it isnt ripped.  I lightly rubbed grease on the gasket to prevent it from getting brittle.
