How about just run 3 maps, one pump, one 50/50 meth, and the fun one! ;D

He's running Dsmap, the safc was a fine tuning device.

I assume you are all doing pre-turbo injection to extend the flow limit of your turbo?  (Decreasing inlet temperature increases inlet mass flow.)

Any concerns about dumping atomized methanol into a hot engine bay (assuming you don't recirc)?

I am just testing my system right now, but I am not running pre-turbo.

Yes, thats the idea behind pre-turbo meth. It greatly improves turbo efficiency, usually allowing about a 25% increase in flow limit. Basically it moves your entire compressor map over a few points.

I imagine the amount is so small it doesn't end up being an issue even with pure meth. As long as your BOV isn't pointed directly at the header primaries, at least :D
The fire point of raw meth is something like 800° F. Most people are running 50/50 meth and water, too (although I won't pretend to know how that effects the combustion temperature, I imagine it would need to be hotter to both evaporate the water and ignite the meth)

I got my 1/8 weld on bung mailed to me today :)     along with other goodies from RG.  including brass shifter bushings, and a pretty oil cap lol.

and get this..   i have a REAL coolant resevoir now!  lol.    its the one offered by RTM as a good replacement tank. It fit perfect in my engine bay :)

as far as the pre turbo nozzle goes.        Should I spray the meth in the direction of the flow ??(ie  weld the bung on an angle, or get 90deg fitting for inside intake pipe. )

and how close or how far should I place the nozzle.       and how big should I go!?

as far away from your compressor as possible, i know RG puts it into the metal top of your k&n, you want to minimize the chance of water droplets hitting your compressor, you want atomization well before it gets to your compressor... i have seen meth installs with pre turbo in a 90 close to the filter though.

in the filter seems like the best idea because if per chance you did get a water/meth droplet hopefully it would be absorbed by the filter.

if you look at my display pic, Im thinking of putting the nozzle as close to the passenger headlight as possible.   thats a good 24+ inches away...  I figure that should be good.   Im going to check how well the pump atomizes at each nozzle.

its not always the atomization when its running, but what it does when it shuts down.

check valve close to the nozzle=no leaking afterwards.  When it shuts off it shuts off.

haha yea     I managed to get a coolingmist check valve,  some line , and a Y   for 20 bux shipped from ebay   lol

I just need one more check valve for the other line.     I want to locate a check really close to each nozzle.

Ive got a 12gph nozzle at the TB and a 10 gph nozzle for the intake    ;D

thats probably too much pre turbo.

Pre turbo helped immensely, but I only use a wee little 0.7mm one.

Too big and it just fills up the air filter and drips on the road after.
