We all understand how delicate the 4G63 engine is when it's not taken care of, and/or how stubborn it can be by doing random shit without any reasonable explanation. That being said, every car with a 4G63 engine should have come from the factory with the following warning.

phhh, no worse than any other engine and I would say less fragile than anything but 2 other engines out there.

That said, VERY funny  :)

I wouldn't say they are ALL fragile. I thinks its more hit and miss some can be beaten and beaten on  and never show any distress. I do agree if you know an engine is on the fritz then for sure a delicate circumstance.

I remember an article in SCC years back


"The 4g63 is more forgiving of home depo hacks, piggyback fuel controllers, bolt on upgrades and general neglect than any engine we have ever come across"

 They're not fragile.

 We just ruin them haha.
