Gas smell from wheel well

I have a gas smell coming from under the left rear wheel well area. It does not seem to be coming from the gas cap and the cap does hold pressure. Any idea where it's coming from? Thanks.

filler tube may be leaking

When I open the gas cap, there is some pressure release so I don't think there is a leak from the tank, filler tube, or gas cap. I also don't see any 'wet' stains on the outside of gas tank or filler tube.

might be from any line down there, just the way the vapours are travelling.  I'd put it up in the air and look carefully

My guess is the fuel pump assembly gasket. A quick check by pulling the access plate in the hatch.

Checked the fuel pump. Looks like one broken stud and one missing nut on the cover. Any suggestions on repairs or replace with fuel cell? How much $$ involved? Thanks.
