you have full 3" exhaust?  Or just a muffler?  full exhaust is a big big thing on these cars.  If you don't have that, get it.

If you do, get a 2g maf, a set of bigger injectors, a bigger fuel pump and thats a great start.

yup ull need a bigger fuel pump and injectors if u get ur 3" turbo back   Im hitting fuel cut now

no, you don't need more fuel just because you have a big exhaust.  I ran a full 3" for a year with the stock injectors.  But you DO need it if you are going to make alot more power.

As well, fuel cut has nothing to do with how much fuel you have.  The computer doesn't know you have that fuel so it will still cut it if you exceed that airflow value.

your on the right track Mark.  You have to get more air flowing without allowing the ECU to know you are doing so 

2g maf, well ported/cut up 1g maf, GM Maf with a translator.  You can put in the bigger maf, and a bigger set of injectors, then find an EProm and get custom chip for it so it all works togeather then you are golden.
