seatbelt light stays on
« on: April 20, 2005, 02:34:21 pm »
i just had some ABS parts fixed/replaced and now the seatbelt light stays on all the time (even with belts in).  i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.  I thought i read somewhere that if the light stays on it is a problem with the battery/charging system.  hope to figure this out soon

Sometimes its been shown that it has to do with a poorly charged battery or a battery on its way out.

But you can also unplug the seatbelt light....take the drivers side seat out and find the plug, its easy to find, and unplug it, and there yea go.

But now you'll never have a light warning you that your seat belt isn't on, so i have no idea how you would figure out it wasn't on anymore.

My car's seatbelt light stayed on as well. all I did was buy some new battery connections and cleaned up the battery posts and the light went out. but now it doesn't work properly. it will go on when i key it up but will go out before my belt is on.
