« on: February 16, 2005, 07:59:18 am »
theres a loud groaning noise everytime i move forward a little at a very slow speed or while backing in.

It is your brakes

Change the pads and it wil go away
(then, in time, they'll wear again and groan again)

It has to do with an angular wear pattern that occcurs due to slop in the caliper pins, and just the natural wear pattern of a single piston caliper

More than likely your rears are the loudest

you can prove it by playing with the ebrake

Ryan, this was a simple problem, but I've seen your other replies, and one can tell when you've been around too many cars with too many problems with the detail at which you diagnose and represent a problem posted online.  If you haven't already heard it enough, people really appreciate your help, because some things only come with experience.
