2g oil filter problem

um this morning i noticed a puddle of oil from under my car so i checked it out and found that my oil filter came loose. this is the second time that this has happend . im just wondering if this is a common thing. and if not( i hope not) is there anything that i can do to correct the problem?

It's common. Check the vfaq.

i had the same problem with my car but i fixed it. The SPIGET (shitty spelling but it's basiclly the parts the the oil filter screws on to) got a little loose and everytime i would rev up, the SPIGET would rattle the oil filter off. U need a huge deap socket (i think it was like a 28 or 30MM). Good Luck
