ok for starters im a dumb ass. ok i forgot to plug my car in last night and it got stupid cold this morning i went to start the car and os suspected nothing. it would crank over but not start. so after like 6 hours of going out there and trying to start the car i finally got it going by disconecting the fpr and cranking it over a few turns and then hooking it back up and then the car started. does anyone know why it started after doing this?

Frozen water in the fuel?

Disconnecting Vacum line from FPR won't do anything on start-up

And I suppose whatever was frozen unfroze after 6 hours of trying to start it. :?

holy!

and disconnecting the vac line would do something.  at idle and under vacuum, that line tells the regulator to give less pressure, and this makes the injectors put out less fuel.  If its off, you will have more fuel as it will be running base, not base -vacuum.

It's probably because of what John said about becoming richer.  When cold, the car needs much more fuel than normal.  The ecu has compensation for temperature variation and pulse width, but maybe not a enough.  That combined with a low battery voltage because of the cold as well, and injector pulsewidths couldn't compensate enough with just the ecu.
