Kind of confusing.  So you lent your stock injectors to a friend, who apparently is using bigger injectors along with other things but no form of fuel control to correct for these injectors?  And you put his bigger injectors in your car without correction and it doesn't run right?

3G lifters are the ones that cure lifter tick.  2G lifters still have enough of a similar design that they're prone to it too.

That's not a guarenteed fix - I know guys who have bought the 3G lifters and still get lifter tick.

daniel, take your injectors out and go down to NW Fuel Injection (or any other place that can test injectors) and they'll test them

that'll tell you straight up if the injectors are bad or not

Also make sure your injectors are seated properly on the head.  Pressurize the intake and look for leaks.

yep, I agree with Kimyee.  I betcha you just missinstalled one or more of the seals.  Sounds like a vac leak with the almost stalling.

Hell, go get some new ones, they arent much and they help alot if you have the old stockers in place still.

You need to get all new insulators and orings whenever you install/reinstall your injectors.  Get it from a fuel injection place...it's $10 well spent.
