Rolling front fenders
« on: April 25, 2004, 11:00:38 am »
I am going to get 2 large front tires (S-03s).

Either 235/45/17 or 245/45/17

There is a remote chance they would not hit the outer fender lip - but they most likely will.

Anybody know a good place to either roll the lip in, flare it out, or trim it a bit?

if you flare them out, you would need wheels with a different offset.... something like +30 or so.....that would give you an extra cm and i'm sure 225's fit fine

My 235/40/17's fit fine, but the 45's are proably at least 1/2 inch taller.  They would clear on a 2g,  but 2g's have bigger wells don't they?

won't you need to repaint if you do drastic surgery like that?

when I was looking to buy a talon I called a guy up cause he didn't specify TSi or anything... then he told me it was... so I went to look... it was actually the 1.8..hah.. and oddly enough it had 245's all around.. no body work... looked damn sexy...

235/40/17s fit great on my Talon... The 45's will have alittle more sideall which will help your launches but might also make them tighter.  I'm not real sure what my offset is though either.
