Do you need to drain oil to re/re turbo?
« on: February 12, 2004, 09:48:15 am »
I want to change my engine oil soon but I will need to have the turbo removed and re-installed soon as well. Will the procedure require draining the oil (in which case  I will hold off on the oil change)? If the car is off, there shouldn't be much oil coming off the oil feed line right?

TIA

It's a good idea to change the oil with the turbo. You might get some dirt down the return tube  or in the feed line.
