Hey Kimyee, what size injectors did you use with your dsmlink?

I'm trying to decide between FIC 650ccs or Delphi 1000ccs injectors with DSMLINK...I still need to pass aircare, if not, I'd go with the 1000ccs :)

I'm no 95+ guy, but arn't you supposed to go with the  "as big as possible" theory, due to the timing advance benefits for you 2G guys :?:

Bahhhhh,

We can all benefit from the info, seeing as most 1G boys eventually graduate to 2G men

I just know if I go as big as possible, it's gonna introduce 'smog' issues...hmmm

Nope, that doesn't apply with DSMlink.  You can advance timing as much or as little as you want, independent of injector size.

Leon, larger injectors will PROBABLY make it very difficult for you to pass aircare.  I needed Fraser's 450s before I could pass, and I'm only running 550s.  Really though, it's a pretty small job changing the injectors, so go big, (I've heard FIC 950s work VERY well), and just keep your stockers to swap back on every two years, no biggy.

I'm on 550s, and seeing 93+% duty cycle.  I probably COULD have gone bigger.  On the other hand, you really don't have to go overboard...if you don't plan on running 11s, then I doubt if you'll need larger than 720cc injectors.  Or you could be Fraser and run almost 11s on 510s.  :)

Another issue is can our gasoline even support such large injectors?  I mean I'll probably need to run race gas before I can even max out the injectors..

No, the higher octane gas you run the less injector you need.  With the knock resistance of the high octane gas, you can go much leaner and hence require much smaller injectors.  Which is why Phil is able to get 11s out of a 1g with a 14b and I believe 450cc injectors...it runs on nothing but race gas baby!
