UPDATE: Pocket PC Logger Software?

So here's the problem: I have to buy a Dell Axim 5 (like a palm pilot, made by dell) from BCIT as a course requirement. I was also planning on buying a palm for logging my 1g. I don't want two PDA's :?
With the Dell Axim, you can get a serial cable for it, but it runs Microsoft Pocket PC as it's operating system, instead of a Palm OS. Anyone know if you can either get a palm OS emulator to make the palm software work, or maybe run the tunerstein software for a laptop on the pocket pc OS? Any other ideas?

from what I've seen....... stay away from tunerstein. Not that great of a program. Just ask Cole MacDonald.

I found a PalmOS emulator for Pocket PC's, and a PalmOS rom for OS 3 and 3.1. Both roms are versions that the digital tuning (pocketlogger.com) and tunerstein software can run on! Now I have to wait till the weekend to install it on my Pocket PC, but it should work. Then I can try running some logging software, and I'll go from there.

In the meantime, if anyone else is in my situation (has a pocket pc instead of a palm, so they can't log their car), just ask and I can send the you the emulator.

If so, you can run TMO, if you can find it.

nah, it just runs special Windows Pocket PC programs.
And I think you mean *buy* the TMO software, not find it  :wink:
You know, like how I legally purchased the Palm OS roms, rather than find them on some guys website...

it might be hard to buy it now too, I hear they are not really reachable anymore...
