So my driver side lower lateral arm ball joint is shot. There's a lot of play in it now, and one day its making creaking noise (rusty joints) too, so it really means it's gone! Now it even makes clicking noise when I do tight turns (parking).
What's strange though is that I had the recall done by Chrysler which supposedly replaced the ball joints almost 1.5 years ago...shady part or shoddy installation?? Now that I think about it, I think they only replaced the passenger side arm. GEEZ
I know lowered cars put more stress on balljoints, but my car isn't slammed or anything (I can still drive over speed bumps and it's still legal height!).
Now I gotta fork out $$$$$$, damn cheap Chrysler cutting corners whereever possible.
I should have did what my friend in California did; he made sure they'd replace the balljoints by slashing up the boots and spreading grease everywhere.
