I ran it for a bit, it over ran my fpr so I switched back to the 255 cause I didn't want to retune. It's really quiet.

Thanks Eddie.  Were you still running a stock FPR with the 255 or was it aftermarket?

Anyone else use the 400?

Both were with an aftermarket regulator.

Hey guys, figured I'd add to this.

For a test I filled my car with Shell 92, usually it's on chevron 94, I noticed that I got knock on the same tune and also my total amount of km per tank was lower by about 20km.  I've gone back to Chevron 94, and now no knock still on the same tune.  Take that with a grain of salt.  I'm sure I can run 92 Shell gas but don't feel like re-tuning for it.

I also run a wally 400, upgraded from a wally 255 hp pump which I thought was on it's way out.  You WILL need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator for this pump.  I remember that when I upgraded the pump and line to my filter my fuel pressure jumped 7 psi if I remember correctly.  The pump is way quieter than the wally 255 but is not quite as direct a fit as the wally 255.

If I were to convert to E85 there would need to be more than the one gas station around to get it.  Also don't you get less km per tank as compared to gas?

Later, Vlad.

you'll get less mileage on shell or chevron 92 as its ethanol blended (e10), and chevron 94 has no ethanol in it at all.. theres 33% less energy in ethanol than in petroleum which explains the lower mileage, more fuel needs to be put in the combustion chamber for the same amount of power (which also likely explains your knock).

but ethanol is way more knock resistant (octane rating of 113) than petroleum so mileage will suffer but knock resistance is increased.. hence the popularity of e85 (85% eth 15% petroleum)

mileage/L will suck, but incredible knock resistance.

I run 2 wally 255's in the tank (dynamat sound deadening in the trunk)  ....I can barely hear them ....
My intake makes the most noise in my car. I don't drive my car enough to worry about mileage. I'm am thinking 50/50 e85... Right now I am running US Chevron 92.
