98 cam angle sensor on 96 head

I'm currently getting a new head built by the good folks at RG, the problem is I bought a spare 96 head and my car is a 98. So different Can angle sensor.. Can my 98 can angle sensor get bolted on to my 96 head? Or do I have to patch in the 96,sensor? I've heard its not a problem to use the 98 sensor on the 96 head, but there is some debate wether it'll work.

96 sensor is in behind the cam gear correct? The 98 cam sensor should definalty bolt up as long as the bolt hols are the same. Never tried it tho, so not 100 percent on it

Thanks Lowell at RG is building my head, the CAS was broken on the 96 donor head, I have a 1g CAS also. Sure hope this works
