MPI/fuel relay fuel wire
« on: April 11, 2014, 11:48:50 pm »
My voltage meter says 12 volts coming from PIN 2 fuel relay (black wire with green line), cranking

the fuel wire at the pump has no power.

What is the route of the wire from the relay to the fuel pump?
What is the color of the fuel pump wire at the tank?

do u have a re-wire kit installed?  check that.  could be a bad aftermarket relay instead of the mpi relay.

Got the new relay in, and still no power?
I like Colts.  Turbo Colts.

found the problems....
intermittent power to pin 9 (relay) cause by clutch switch....Rather than play with the switch I don't use
I put in a T tap to connect the wires (clutch switch).
The factory plug by the fuel tank has blue corrosion on both ends....Soak it in vinegar , dried,,,die electric grease......Voila!!!

Nothing wrong with the relay but I have a spare now too...

Is there an factory roll over switch that kills the fuel pumps??? I know the FI Mustangs had them.
