throttle body
« on: August 19, 2012, 11:54:56 pm »
So i was checking out flee bay and came across a bbk throttle body and no one had bid on it so i figured 50.00 if i win i have a paperweight, at the very least! I couldn't find a good review online and nothing but bad things to say about it? maybe 1g just as good anyways it shows up the other day and its like brand new. So whatever i figured i'd run it and see what happens.

The shafts are bearings with o-ring seal i'd probably went with bigger o-rings but it doesn't leak no and when it does i'll just machine the shaft for a larger o-ring.

Make sure you have a functional throttle stop and don't rely on the throttle body to limit travel.  Or you could break the shaft with disastrous results.  Check the plate screws too, they've been known to work loose.
