yep, the main reason for doing it. Also you don't have hot coolant in your throttle body anymore, and its really easy to pull the throttle body to get at things or for what ever reason.
you can also make a gasket out of something strong but flexible like impregnated cork or hard rubber that will cover all but the ISC passage.
And you can use windshield urethane instead of silicone or other glues. That is a structural adhesive and will not come out or deteriorate for the forseeable future.
