I cant remember exactly how much cfm the stock main fan flows but I do know that a 1200cfm slimline doesnt work as well. It may be because the stock fan shroud utilizes more surface area of the radiator.

I run a 12" slimline puller fan where the stock main fan used to be and a 10" pusher style fan on the front right of the rad. Works well with Kinetic race intercooler and an unhacked stock bumper.

I found that the slimlines were shit also, infact the motor is so cheap and the housing is made of plastic and I kept blowing them up so I was switched over to a trimline instead, straight blades and a steel cases motor, blows WAY more air when running side by side and hasn't blow up in 6 months about the same price I'd recomend that modle instead for sure

I am curious, because I want to run a set of fans on my 71 chevelle race car. I was thinking of running a set of the dsm fans for cooling. Though of it for something a little different!

you are like me, mix n match cars.  The DSM has Saab parts in it, the Ford has a Toyota rad fan, the Galant has the header from a 2.4 Eclipse.

I think two stock DSM fans are gonna move enough air for your Chebby.
