If you take the alternator belt off what runs the water pump?  

I'm not sure how well a car would take a full boost 1/4 mile pass with no cooling whatsoever.  

I've been considering using a Ford style solenoid in various setups.

Ha.  Should have thought more specifically about DSMs here rather than what I've done on other cars.   :laugh:

still not gonna pass tech Matt.  And the parasitic loss is probably not worth enough to do it.

Make the switch exactly according to the rules.  Stuff like this sucks, but its worse if you spend all sorts of time and money and want to race but then can't.

Biggest reason I didn't relocate my battery.  I just didn't want to be bothered, at least for now.
