Gas tank pressure?

Hey about 5 min. or so after I shut down my car, I hear this really loud ''dong" sound coming from the rear of the car (gas tank i'm assuming)...wondering if anyone has had similar problems? I'm running a walbro255 as my pump if that makes a difference.

could be something like a heat shield and/or exhaust cooling down and contracting?

or springs/suspension parts settling?
